History
Until the mid-1970's the Korean burner market was dominated but oil burning stoves that not only had an unpleasant smell, they were inconvenient and were more dangerous. Seeing an opportunity Kovea chairman Kim Don-sook had Kovea develop a highly efficient burner that is easy to use, and safer and completely burns the fuel, resulting in less smell, soot, and dangerous fumes.

Star Love
Originally known as Love Star, BERON was developed for use in restaurants. Breaking with the industry standard rectangular stove with an internal compartment for butane fuel cans, Star Love featuring a circular design that was smaller and more attractive than the alternatives making it an immediate success with the restaurant market.

The burner was so effective it became the basis for many future Kovea products across their range of stoves from backpacking to camping to restaurants. And it's now available once again in it's original form with some additional improvements and in very limited quantity - we're proud to present the black and gold BERON 40th Anniversary Edition.
